Who I am
My goldsmith's workshop is at Via Guicciardini 16, in the heart of Florence. The passion for goldsmithing has been passed down in my family for generations. It all began in the early 1900s with my father's grandfather, Oreste Pestellini, who passed it on to his two sons, Fosco and Giuseppe. After the war, Giuseppe opened his own workshop on the corner of Ponte Vecchio and taught metalworking to my father, who went to work with him after graduating from the Porta Romana Art Institute, where I later attended. After graduating as a Master of Arts in 1989, I learned the trade from my father, with whom I worked until 2001. Now that he's retired and teaches stone setting at the Metallo Nobile school in Florence, I run the workshop alone, which has moved to Via Guicciardini 16.
